Registering a mobile App when 2FA is enabled
When 2FA is enabled for your account, you will be asked to enter an authentication code when registering an App for the first time.
You’ll need to configure your Two-Step Authentication settings before signing in to the app. You will only be prompted to enter an authentication code if you’ve already configured 2FA preferences. If you’re trying to register a desktop app, click here. Two-Step Authentication is not yet supported for the Windows Phone app.
On iOS:
You will be prompted to enter an authentication code, and you will also need to configure a passcode within the app.
Configuring a passcode is required if Two-Step Authentication was configured as an organisation policy; it’s optional if you enabled it personally.
- Enter the authentication code and press the OK button.
- You will now be asked to configure a passcode, and will be directed to the Settingspage. Select Use Passcode
- You will be prompted to enter a Passcode.
On Android:
You will be prompted to enter an authentication code, and you will also need to configure a PIN within the app.
Configuring a passcode is required if Two-Step Authentication was configured as an organisation policy; it is optional if you enabled it personally.
- Enter the authentication code and press the OK button.
- You will now be asked to configure a PIN, and will be directed to the Settings page. Select Require PIN.
- You will be prompted to enter a PIN.
Note: If Two-Step Authentication has been turned on only as an individual account policy, that account will not be required to configure a passcode or PIN.
